Killarney
There is a certain picture that most people have when they are asked to think of Ireland – rolling grasslands, mysterious valleys, evergreen hills – a touch of that old-world magic. If you’re looking for that, then look no further than Killarney.
The town is surrounded by the kind of nature that seems built for postcards, and Killarney National Park is a short hop away if you truly want to be blown away by nature. I highly recommend a visit to MacGillycuddy’s Reeks – the tallest mountain range in Ireland, for some really gorgeous hiking.

Galway and The Cliffs of Moher
As someone who has traveled many places, I highly recommend visiting Galway. From its stunning beauty to its great food, you won’t be disappointed. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, giving the city an overall feeling of warmth and contentment. I particularly loved strolling down the cobblestoned lanes around Shop Street and tasting delicious seafood at one of the local pubs.
One popular attraction is the Cliffs of Moher; no trip to Galway is complete without making that stop! If a cultural experience is what you’re looking for, there are plenty of activities in Galway such as concerts and theater shows that offer unique perspectives into the culture of Ireland. Overall, my experience exploring Galway was definitely worth it!

Westport County Mayo
Westport in County Mayo is more of a town than a city, but it’s beautiful and well worth a visit. It’s a great base for visiting nearby Achill Island, Ireland’s largest island. Westport has many lively bars with live Irish music and great restaurants. It’s close to many beaches, and it’s on the fabulous Wild Atlantic Way.

Cork Munster
Located in the southernmost region of Ireland, Cork is the second-largest city of Ireland, which is a part of the Munster Province. The place has a wide range of reasons why you should visit it if you come to Ireland. Some deem the city the food capital, while others prefer its breathtaking scenery of landscapes and coastlines. Some might even consider the place fit for a historical tour or even for its rich coffee culture. Now, these options to consider are why you should visit Cork if you are coming to Ireland.

Cobh
Even though Cobh is not the largest city in Ireland, it has no equal when it regards tourism. It serves as the entrance to what may be called Ireland’s Alcatraz. The only authentic cruise ship port in Ireland is still Cobh, however, most passengers depart for destinations beyond the city.
The Titanic Experience and the Queenstown Story are two of its museums that honor the Titanic and the tales of people who perished on it. Spike Island, which was formerly the largest prison in the world, is only 15-20 minutes away from Cobh. Back on land, St. Colman’s Cathedral is prominently displayed above Cobh as it rises colorfully from the harbor.

Dingle Peninsula
Being a wildlife lover, I would suggest this spot that is surrounded by almost 30 miles of natural charms. I visited the Slieve Mish, which is amongst its famous mountain ranges, and also plenty of beaches. If you would also like to know more about Irish culture, visiting the seaside villages is advised. What I loved the most is seeing dolphins on one of the boat tours, among other marine wildlife.
For more recreational options, they also offer opportunities to go hiking and strolling. If you love a good road trip, going around the Slea Head Drive is a decent option. The most fascinating thing I found is the artifacts preserved in the Celtic and Prehistoric Museum. It is worth a visit if you wish to choose a recreational spot with a little bit of history and fun added to it.

Waterford
Your Ireland trip will be incomplete if you don’t visit Waterford. It’s a magnificent city and attracts tourists every year. The House of Waterford Crystal is a prime tourist attraction in the city. When you visit it, you will feel like you are in a different timeline. One can get mesmerized to see the stunning glassware. The details tell the story of its creation. You will feel like you can see the whole process, from molding to finishing it.
While exploring the city, you can see the remnants of its Norman and Viking history. There are also vibrant and contemporary restaurants and shopping centers. Another architectural wonder is the Medieval Museum. The curved stone building with butter-yellow color provides a dazzling sight. You can find some of the oldest relics in its medieval chambers. Also, don’t forget to visit the iconic Clock Tower.

Dublin is a great city to visit in Ireland. It’s the nation’s capital, and has a vibrant culture that offers something for everyone. There are many restaurants, pubs, and attractions in the city, such as the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin Castle, Trinity College Dublin, and St. Stephen’s Green Park. You can also take a ferry ride across the River Liffey, explore the city’s cobbled streets and lanes, or take a day trip to Wicklow National Park. Dublin is also home to numerous cultural institutions such as the Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, the National Gallery of Ireland, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and the Irish Writers Centre.

Limerick
Due to the Emerald Isle’s abundance of top-notch cities and villages, the Republic of Ireland is one of the most endearing nations in all of Europe to travel to. As the River Shannon flows into the Shannon Estuary, the bustling city of Limerick can be located there. Given its advantageous location on the west coast and protected access to the Atlantic, Limerick has long been a significant city. St. John’s Castle, an outstanding Norman fortress intended to protect the city, is located there. Although the name of the city, Limerick, is best known for its collection of brief poems, there is also a wealth of other cultures in this area.
